Ludicrous Speed ReviewsAnother Castle #1 (Oni)
Poorly written with decent art, this is, at best, a clichéd first issue. I’m not sure who this is for but there’s nothing new or engaging in this to make me want to read more. My advice to the author is: “don’t give up the day job”.

Predator: Life and Death #1 (Dark Horse)
I like the concept for this Life and Dead series highlighting different races of this shared universe. This first issue feels pretty standard for a Predator issue but it works fine. Nothing particularly new here and the art is serviceable but nothing amazing.

The Discipline #1 (Image)
I think I want to read more of this, but I don’t know if this first issue relies more on the sex to keep you hooked or there is enough to this first issue in terms of story to keep me interested. Giving it a couple more issues.

Black Widow #1 (Marvel)
This is a book you knew would be good because of the people working on it. I can’t wait for the next issue!

Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers #1 (BOOM!)
I have less nostalgia for the Power Rangers than a lot of people but still, this is a well done and visually enjoyable first issue. I think it will be a fun read for most people.
