Imaginary Friends #1 (Vertigo) I like the concept and the art is good but it feels a bit rehashed and formulaic. Rating: SKIM IT Void Trip #1 (Image) I love the art but the main characters are really hard to get into. I want to give this another issue because it has potential but this didn’t blow me away. Rating:  SKIM IT                                                                         Doomsday Clock #1 (DC) I read this issue from start to finish. It cost $4.99. There is a lot of marketing behind it. I put it in a box after I was done reading. Rating: SKIM IT Motor...

NinjaK #1 (Valiant) Love the story, didn’t care for the art. But cool story. Hated the art. Rating: SKIM IT Dark Nights: The Batman Who Laughs #1 (DC) This is some dark S&%^. Great art. This is really messed up. I want more. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Not Brand Echh #14 (Marvel) Fun and silly with lots of inside jokes. Coyotes #1 (Image) I really like the art but the story so far feels lacking. It was hard to engage with the characters. The story telling borders on mystical surrealism and traditional horror but misses the mark. Rating: SKIM IT Batman Lost #1 (DC) Another chapter in this really great Metal event. Great art. Enjoying this a lot. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Harbinger Renegade #0 (Valiant) I’m excited to read more of this story line and event. Not a terrible jumping on point but more for the established reader of Valiant than a newcomer. Rating: SKIM IT Port of Earth #1...

Eternity #1 (Valiant) If you haven’t been reading Divinity I wouldn’t suggest starting here, but read Divinity 1- 3 and then read this, incredible stories. Rating: BUY IT Hack/Slash Resurrection #1 (Image) Art is good and the story is true to the franchise, but…if you aren’t into this story already, this isn’t going to hook you. Rating:  SKIM IT                                                                         Jughead: The Hunger #1 (Archie) This delivers on its promise I suppose but it just didn’t hook me like the one shot did last year. Rating: SKIM IT Silver Surfer #14 (Marvel) What a wonderful ending to a wonderful run. Epic...

Deadpool vs Old Man Logan #1 (Marvel) Loved the art and the writing is solid. A fun read. Do you NEED it? No. But you should read it. Rating: BUY IT Maestros #1 (Image) Amazing art. Interesting story setup. I want to read more. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Kid Lobotomy #1 (IDW) Good art but a really baffling read. I wanted to like this more than I did. I’m interested in the next issue but I can’t say you have to get it. Rating: SKIM IT Batman The Drowned #1 (DC) These Elseworlds origin issues are hella depressing but all have...
