Barbarella #1 (Dynamite) I like it. Decent art and the story keeps the wild sexy sci fi nature of the franchise. Rating: BUY IT Doctor Strange #382 (Marvel) OH SNAP! THAT LAST PAGE! I NEED THE NEXT ISSUE NOW. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Paradisio #1 (Image) I really like the art and the story framework. This was a little hard to follow but by the end I got the gist. I want to read more. Rating: SKIM IT Witchblade #1 (Image) Good art and from what I gather, a reset for the character. Hard to follow this for a while as...

Giantkillers #0 (IDW) Decent art and a serviceable premise, but this felt dated and not particularly innovative. Rating: SKIM IT Labyrinth 2017 Special (BOOM!) Some very fun stories and some great art that fill in little bits of the movie universe. If you are dying for more of this world and don’t mind the price of the book it’s a fun read. Rating:  SKIM IT                                                                         Star Trek Discovery #1 (IDW) I’m so into Discovery right now that this was fun to read, but its not a “must.” The art and writing are okay. Imaginary Friends #1 (Vertigo) I like the concept and the art is good but it feels a bit rehashed and formulaic. Rating: SKIM IT Void Trip #1 (Image) I love the art but the main characters are really hard to get into. I want to give this another issue because it has potential but this didn’t blow me away. Rating:  SKIM IT                                                                         Doomsday Clock #1 (DC) I read this issue from start to finish. It cost $4.99. There is a lot of marketing behind it. I put it in a box after I was done reading. Rating: SKIM IT Motor...

NinjaK #1 (Valiant) Love the story, didn’t care for the art. But cool story. Hated the art. Rating: SKIM IT Dark Nights: The Batman Who Laughs #1 (DC) This is some dark S&%^. Great art. This is really messed up. I want more. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Not Brand Echh #14 (Marvel) Fun and silly with lots of inside jokes. I like books like this in moderation. Rating: SKIM IT Rasputin: The Voice of The Dragon #1 (Dark Horse) Great art and the compelling story you would expect. I enjoyed this first issue a lot. Rating: BUY IT The Girl Who...

Coyotes #1 (Image) I really like the art but the story so far feels lacking. It was hard to engage with the characters. The story telling borders on mystical surrealism and traditional horror but misses the mark. Rating: SKIM IT Batman Lost #1 (DC) Another chapter in this really great Metal event. Great art. Enjoying this a lot. Rating:  BUY IT                                                                         Harbinger Renegade #0 (Valiant) I’m excited to read more of this story line and event. Not a terrible jumping on point but more for the established reader of Valiant than a newcomer. Rating: SKIM IT Port of Earth #1...
