Aaron (Hearts) RomBlood Brothers #1 (Dark Horse)
Another vampire story, or is it? Sure there isn’t a huge hook here other than this is actually pretty funny, the art looks good and the Starsky & Hutch vibe to the characters works. I found myself wanting to read more, you’re mileage may vary.

The Strain: The Fall #1 (Dark Horse)
If you liked the first run of this book you will like this issue too. Interesting story, art is well done too but nothing amazing. I didn’t find myself needing to read more.

Dinosaurs Attack #1 (IDW)
Maybe I just wasn’t im the mood for a homage to golden and silver age sci fi horror but this book didn’t grab me at all. If you are looking for a book that has Dino’s, mad scientists and campy pulpy writing then this is for you, otherwise…

Red Sonja #1 (Dynamite)
I haven’t picked up a modern age Red Sonja book in a long long time. The character always had potential but never seemed to have anything going for her that I needed to read. I was very surprised that at the end of this issue I wanted to read more. It’s not life changing and the art is serviceable but not great and yet the issue worked well. I want to read more!

X-Files Season 10 #2 (IDW)
The first issue of this relaunch was great so I was nervous and excited to see if it would continue to be good. Im happy to report that the second issue was really good too, don’t miss this series!
