Well done on using a Battles track you nerds
Hey…Thanks, Chris!
TWO comments!! I’m too stubborn to get Facebook or Twitter accounts (yeah, I’m THAT guy) and I didn’t realize this comment section was here.
I get a lot of my comics hardbound into single books. I was wondering what you guys thought of the practice…does it make you cringe as a collector or as a reader do you like the thought of reading an entire story?
Anyway, love the show and I still can’t see Jesse Blaze Snider’s name without snickering.
Hi, Dan! I actually think that binding comics is an interesting practice. Several customers at Legend do it. As someone who no longer collects single issues, I (Joe) think it can be a nice way to have collected editions of stories that weren’t actually put out in trade/HC by the publisher.
Hey Dan – where do you get your custom HCs done? I got a bunch of cool custom tpbs at Single Bound Studios but they have closed up shop.
Hi Brian,
I’ve had 40 books done by Herring and Robinson: http://www.herringandrobinsonbookbinders.com/. They do a great job and are pretty inexpensive.
I really like binding for big crossovers like Blackest Night…the trades are usually broken up by title instead of in reading order. Plus a lot of creators get a kick out of them when they see the books at cons.
Excellent! I just found that site but had not had any positive feedback. Thanks, Dan!
NO Joe! Not picking a fight; just stating facts. Where Flashpoint lead to your and Matt’s let down w/ the NEW 52. AvX lead to NOW! and my dropping of many Marvel titles. Cyclops shooting first made as much since as Greedo shooting first. Also, Marvel totally negating any progress the two teams made during the ‘Children’s Crusade’ . The leading up to this event made me dropped Uncanny; the one title that got me reading comics. Oh well…downer…LOVE THE SHOW!
Oh, and CYCLOPS WAS RIGHT!
