The Returning #1 (Boom)
Pretty well written, serviceable art, but poor coloring. Not a bad first issue, just not enough to hook me.

Magnus Robot Fighter #1 (Dynamite)
This is a well-executed first issue that hooked me into the revival of this character. I want to read more!

Monster & Madman #1 (IDW)
I didn’t get much out of this at all. The story seems rehashed and tedious, the art is really good and for me saves the issue. You might not be as burnt out on these kinds of stories as I am, check it out but its not a must have.

Stray Bullets #41 (Image)
Confession: This is the first Stray Bullets issue I ever read. As soon as I was done I ordered the omnibus.

Captain Marvel #1 (Marvel)
I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. The premise for the story arc seems forced and the characterization of Carol feels off. I didn’t hate this, I liked, it, I just wanted to like it more. I’m still in for what comes next, but it doesn’t feel like a natural progression of her story.
