THN Gang Hang | Spawn 77, Lanterns Theories, Marvel’s Wolverine & MORE!
Maybe Wolverine’s NOT the best at EVERYTHING he does…?
Join former comic shop managers and lifelong comic fans Joe Patrick and Matt Baum for their Saturday Morning Gang Hang! Each week, the guys assemble with their loyal Listenerds on the THN Discord where they talk about the latest TV, movie, and comic book headlines, plus whatever else pops into their heads! Here are the Gang Hang topics for Saturday 9/12:
On the comics side:
- Joshua Williamson’s Iron Man #9 delivers a jaw-dropping reveal (with colorist Nolan Woodard’s unusually soft, candy-like art getting its own debate)
- Todd McFarlane’s Spawn ’77 somehow outsells Batman and Transformers despite the guys tearing its art and dialogue apart
- The Superman family’s Kingdom of Zod crossover gets called out for badly overstaying its welcome
Then it’s on to movies, TV & video games:
- The early mixed reviews for Marvel’s Wolverine video game
- Lanterns theories! Is Laura Linney’s guardian is secretly a Manhunter? Does Sheriff Kane has a hidden connection to the Bat Family? Is Hal Jordan’s apparent death actually a fakeout?
If you love comics, superhero movies, and insider takes from a pair of former comic book retailing pros who still live in the longboxes, this show is for you. Come hang out with the Listenerds on our THN Discord — bring your hot takes, recommendations, and questions!
