Amazing Spider-Man #698 (Marvel)
I haven’t read Amazing Spider-Man with any regularity for at least 15 years. I will be reading it for as long as this story arc is happening. Whoa. I was very skeptical that anything that happened in this book would hook me, but I was wrong. I want to see how this plays out!

Indestructible Hulk #1 (Marvel)
I think Hulk is a hard character to make interesting anymore. If anyone might do it, its Mark Waid. This was interesting, but didn’t do a ton to make me need to read more. That being said, if you have been looking for a good Hulk book again, this will probably go a long way to getting you there. The art was actually good but it’s hard to tell for sure because the coloring wasn’t.

I really liked this. Great art, really interesting first issue that left me wanting to know more. Looks like its going to be a good mystery with some unique plot twists.

Number 13 #0 (Dark Horse)
This is a wild book. I’m a sucker for well-drawn post-apocalyptic stories. This is really interesting and as with all the other Dark Horse #0 books if you didn’t read this in Dark Horse Presents you need to get this to know what’s going on.

Comeback #1 (Image)
Time travel. Murder. Betrayal. What’s not to like in this book? I’m not sure what the big story is here yet, but this was a solid first issue that looked great. I want to read more.
